Library Updates

On January 20, 2020 the Dennis Public Library experienced water damage to its Circulation Desk and Back Office areas due to a leaking sprinkler pipe.

The Library will remain closed on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 to allow for clean up and repair of the affected areas. Additional closure time may be necessary to complete work. Stay tuned for further updates.

During this time period, the remaining four Dennis village libraries are fully operational and open to serve patrons. Irish harpist Mairead Doherty

Get ready for St. Patrick’s Day with Mairead Doherty. The talented harpist and her musical guests will treat listeners to Celtic airs. The stirring renditions of traditional music and the delightful background stories relayed by Ms. Doherty are sure to entertain an audience of all ages. 


Born in County Tipperary, Ireland, Mairead Doherty studied harp under the auspices of the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin. She has performed throughout Europe and North America. This year marks Ms. Doherty’s sixth year performing at Dennis Public Library.
