Dennis Composting Craze!

Thanks to our partners, the Climate and Coastal Resiliency Committee and the Dennis Department of Public Works, we have composting kits available for both children and adults.

Pick up some informational literature and books to discover why composting is a good idea for the community and the environment.

Museum of Science

 
Museum Passes Available

The Dennis Public Library offers Museum Passes for the Museum of Science in Boston. The Museum of Science offers hundreds of interactive exhibits and a wide variety of programs. 

Passes are valid for a specific date. Your pass can only be used on the date printed on the paper Museum Pass ticket. Each pass admits up to four people at 50% off Exhibit Halls admission. Visit the Box Office when you arrive at the museum to use your pass to purchase discounted tickets. The library does not reserve passes in advance, but you can call or stop by the library to check pass availability.

Local Author Joseph Theroux

Saturday, January 20th at 11:00 a.m.

Local author Joseph Theroux will discuss his latest novel of historical fiction American Voodoo. Set in 1920s Louisiana, the novel follows writer Lloyd Osbourne and a young William Faulkner as they investigate serial killer Clementine Barnabet.

Irish Movie Marathon

Starting Friday, January 12th at 2:00 p.m.

Mary Ann Eaton, Instructor of Irish Literature, will host her popular Irish Movie Marathon series on Friday afternoons in January and February. Join us each week for a screening of an Irish film and a brief cultural discussion. No registration is required.
