Would you like to help observe ospreys on the mid and lower Cape? Whether you want to volunteer, or simply learn more about these big, beautiful birds, come and join us!

First Wednesday Film Series

Wednesday, June 3rd at 12:15 pm

Dennis Public Library presents “The Country Teacher,” the story of young science teacher on assignment who meets a woman and her troubled 17-year old son. He befriends the woman, but has no romantic interest in her. No one in the village knows that the teacher is gay and harbors secret feelings towards the teenage son. His jealous actions test the inner strength and compassion of all three to the breaking point. Beautifully shot and powerfully acted, this film is a moving story of desire, responsibility, forgiveness, and the need to belong.
