September Artist- Brenda Fernandez

Art Reception ~ Thursday, September 5th from 5-7pm

Brenda Fernandez is an Abstract, Collage and Mixed Media artist. Her artwork will be on display in the Dennis Public Library meeting room throughout the month of September. All are welcome to explore and enjoy the art.

Brenda expresses her art through bold colors, energy and emotion. She begins her paintings by putting words, markings, and shapes on the substrate of choice. The colors, paint and paper come easily as she uses her fingers, palette knives, spatulas, brushes and whatever her intuition guides her to use to complete her art.

On her journey Brenda has taken art classes, art retreats, online art classes and she paints as often as she can. She is a member of Provincetown Art Association and Museum. She is inspired simply by being alive and feeling the freedom of expressing herself through painting. Brenda paints monthly at the Bonnie Brewer Art Studio in Dennis in a group setting.

The artist will be at the library on Thursday, September 5th from 5-7pm for an art reception. We hope you can join us.

Join author Dr. Donna Bevans for a talk about her new book, The Captain's House, an intriguing story about a haunted house in Harwich filled with suspense, mystery and romance.

Do you believe in ghosts? Rachel didn't, and she wasn't going to let the rumors of ghosts and a curse stop her from buying the lovely sea captain's house on Cape Cod.

Voices in the night, footsteps overhead, and banging noises started to make Rachel think the rumors of a haunted house might be right, but it took meeting the ghosts face-to-face to make her a true believer.
