Secrets of Smartphone Photography & Video

The Cape Cod Community Media Center is holding a class at the library on tips and tricks to improve your smartphone photography and video skills. All levels of experience are welcome. 


Improve your photography skills, learn about photo & video editing, and create great looking videos for your family, organization, or business.

Bag of Books Sale

March 26th-April 6th


The Friends of Dennis Public Library are holding a bag of books sale for two weeks. Stop by the library to fill a bag with great reads for only $5! We have wonderful selections for kids, teens and adults. 

We are not able to accept book donations at this time, but those interested in contributing to the Friends' ongoing book sale can check back with us next month to see when we will be able to accept them. Thank you for thinking of us. 

We will have bags available, but feel free to bring your own. 

March is Youth Art Month!

Each month we have an art exhibit in the library meeting room. This month we are excited to share the work of local Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School students. Their art will be on display throughout the month of March in celebration of Youth Art Month.

Paintings, drawings, photographs and more are on display. You will be amazed by their creativity and talent.

Route 28 Road Work

March 14th - April 30th


MassDot will be working on Route 28 in Dennis Port. Please allow more time to follow detours, or access the library from the south side of Edwards Avenue via Lower County Road or Center Street.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and look forward to your visit.

Fairy gardens for children of all ages

Create your own fairy garden! The program will start with a fairy story, then each participant will create their own unique garden design, including a garden container, fresh sheet moss, a mini house, pond making kit, living mini plants, fairy trinkets, and of course fairy dust!

Space is limited. Please register by Tuesday, March 19th to reserve your kit. THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL.

Caregivers must accompany small children. Additional family members are welcome. When you register please let us know how many gardens your group will be making. 

Mad Writers' Tea Party

Tuesday, March 12th from 4:00-5:30


Calling all writers, authors and readers. 

Come drink tea and chat with other like-minded book enthusiasts. Write your favorite character on a post-it-note for a fun game, wear a silly hat (optional), and share writing and publishing tips with each other. Possible presentation on independent publishing if requested. 

Tea time is at 4:00.
