Aside from offering books, research tools, audio, and video materials for patrons, the Dennis Public Library offers several other services for school, work, and leisure activities.

Public Access Computers
The library has nine public access computers in the adult area. The computers provide internet access, word processing and other office programs (Microsoft Office and Open Office), access to the reference databases and CLAMS catalog. The computers have a 30 minute time limit when people are waiting. Preference will be given to students using computers to complete school work.

The library has ten Chromebook laptops available for patrons to use in the library. We do require an ID or library card to be left at the circulation while the Chromebook is checked out. We recommend saving your information in an email or on a flash drive (memory stick).

All public computers are able to print in black and white (laser quality). Printed pages are 20 cents per page. It is also possible to print wirelessly from smartphones, tablets and laptops.

The library is equipped with a photocopier, and copies are 20 cents per page.

The library has a fax machine that can be used by the public. Faxes are $2 for the first page, $1 for each additional page. Cover sheets are free. Ask at the main desk.

The library has a scanner for public use. It has both a flatbed scanner and automatic document feeder for scanning multiple pages and double sided pages. There is no fee to use this service. We recommend saving your scans in an email or on a flash drive.

DVD and CD Cleaning
Have a disc that is dirty, smudged, or lightly scratched? A disc that skips? The library has a professional-grade disc cleaner that can address most dirt and minor scratching problems. Cleaning is $1 per disc.

Meeting Room
The library has a 50-person-capacity meeting room with state-of-the-art video projection (DVD, video, or computer feed.) Priority for meeting room use is given to library programs. Non-profit organizations and community groups may use the room for presentations and public meetings of an educational, cultural, or civic nature. All events should be free and open to the public. An organization or group charging for admission or participation may seek permission for the Library Director to use the Meeting Room. However, if permission is granted, the group will be charged the municipal building rental fee of $25 per hour. For the complete meeting room policy, please visit the Circulation Desk. To reserve the meeting room, please click this link for our electronic request form: Meeting Room Request Form. Please note: We are currently unable to fulfill new requests for regular weekly or monthly private group meetings
