Services

Aside from offering books, research tools, audio, and video materials for patrons, the Dennis Public Library offers several other services for school, work, and leisure activities.

Public Access Computers
The library has nine public access computers in the adult area. The computers provide internet access, word processing and other office programs (Open Office), access to the reference databases and CLAMS catalog, and computer use tutorials. The computers have a 60 minute time limit when people are waiting (30 minute limit June through September). Preference will be given to students using computers to complete school work.

Chromebooks
The library has five Chromebook laptops available for patrons to use in the library. We do require an ID or library card to be left at the circulation while the Chromebook is checked out. It is not possible to print from our Chromebooks. We recommend saving your information in an email or on a flash drive (memory stick).

Printing
All public computers are able to print in black and white (laser quality). Printed pages are 20 cents per page.

Copying
The library is equipped with a photocopier, and copies are 20 cents per page.

Faxing
The library has a fax machine that can be used by the public. Faxes are $2 for the first page, $1 for each additional page. Cover sheets are free. Ask at the main desk.

DVD and CD Cleaning
Have a disc that is dirty, smudged, or lightly scratched? A disc that skips? The library has a professional-grade disc cleaner that can address most dirt and minor scratching problems. Cleaning is $1 per disc.

Meeting Room
The library has a 50-person-capacity meeting room with state-of-the-art video projection (DVD, video, or computer feed) and T-switch (hearing aid) audio capabilities. The meeting room is available to non-profit groups free of charge, and can be rented by for-profit groups. For the meeting room policy and to reserve the room, please visit the circulation desk.
