Services

Aside from offering books, research tools, audio, and video materials for patrons, the Dennis Public Library offers several other services for school, work, and leisure activities.

Public Access Computers
The library has public access computers in the adult reading area. The computers provide internet access, word processing, and other office programs (Microsoft), access to the reference databases and the CLAMS catalog, and computer use tutorials.  The computers have a 60 minute time limit when people are waiting.  

Technology Materials for Check Out
The library has Chromebooks and laptops available for patrons to check out of the library for 3 days.  There are also WiFi hotspots that can be checked out for 3 days. Computers and hotspots come with power cords and instructions.  

Printing
All public computers are able to print in black and white (laser quality). Printed materials are 20 cents per page.

Photocopying
The library is equipped with a photocopier and copies are 20 cents per page.  

Faxing
The library has a fax machine for public use. Faxes are $2.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page.  Cover sheets are free. Please inquire at the Circulation Desk.

DVD and CD Cleaning
Have a disc that is dirty, smudged, or lightly scratched? Or have a disc that skips? The library has a professional-grade disc cleaner that can address most dirt and minor scratching problems.  Cleaning is $1.00 per disc.

Meeting Room
The library has a 50-person capacity meeting room with state of the art video projection (DVD, video, or computer feed) and T-switch (hearing aid) audio capabilities. The meeting room is available to non-profit groups free of charge, and can be rented by for-profit groups. For the meeting room policy and to reserve the room, please visit the circulation desk.  

Study Pod
The library has a small study pod to be used by 1 to 4 individuals for study, quiet conversation, tutoring, or other similar activities. The pod must be reserved and at least one user must be over 18 years old with an active CLAMS card. For more information, please call or visit the Circulation Desk. Please note, the pod is not sound-proof and discussions should be low volume.
