NEW! Game Night

Wednesday, January 30 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm

Winter dull and boring? Want to get out of the house for some fun? Matt Donle is leading our new game night. These aren't your grandparents' board games! Come and try out games like "Dixit" and "Settlers of Catan." The more people, the more fun, so bring some family and friends for the evening. For ages 8 and up.

NEW! Soccer, Sergeants, and Suspense Book Club

Thursday, January 24 at 6:30 pm
Our new book club needs you! Help us get started. What do you like to read about - sports, war, spy mysteries, etc? Lew Taylor, owner of the "Cannot Live without Books" bookstore in West Dennis, MA, will facilitate the first meeting. The group will consider book topics (which can vary monthly), discussion format, and the best night and time for future meetings. Don't be afraid to share your ideas. We are looking for this group to develop into an ongoing and thriving resource that many can enjoy.

Avian Architecture

Saturday, January 19 at 11:00 am

Come join Ian Ives, Director of the Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary, as he leads our audience in a discussion about the nests that birds build. He'll answer such questions as how does a bird build a nest with just a beak for a tool? How many trips does it take to construct a safe space for eggs and nestlings? He'll show our audience some of the ingenious and intricate designs created by birds around the world and then examine real Cape Cod nests. You will be amazed at the diversity of architecture of these avian homes!
