Library Updates

On February 4, 2020 the Dennis Public Library will reopen to serve patrons. Repairs to areas damaged by water on January 20, 2020 have been completed. The Children’s Room and the Benjamin and Ruth Muse Meeting Room sustained damage in an earlier event on November 8, 2019, and will remain closed until carpet is delivered later this month.

The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program that is normally offered at this time of year in the Meeting Room has been relocated to the Dennis Union Church at 713 Main Street (Route 6A), Dennis, MA, through the month of February. Please call Susan Reilly at the Dennis Senior Center to arrange an appointment for tax preparation assistance: 508-385-5067. Voting on March 3, 2020, for Precinct #3 will still take place at Dennis Public Library.

Take Your Child to the Library Day at the other Dennis Libraries

Due our building closure, Dennis Public Library will not be able to participate in this year’s “Take Your Child to the Library Day” on Saturday, February 1st. However, the other Dennis libraries are looking forward to welcoming you:  

Dennis Memorial Library, located at 1020 Old Bass River Road in Dennis (02638), will be open from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and have a drop in open house from 2:00-4:00 p.m., which offers crafts, puzzles, games, and books.  

Jacob Sears Memorial Library, located at 23 Center Street in East Dennis (02641), will be open from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Select a yummy treat from Harry Potter’s trunk.  

South Dennis Library, located at 389 Main Street in South Dennis (02660), will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and have a drop in craft and scavenger hunt.

West Dennis Library, located at 260 Main Street (02670) in West Dennis, will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Enjoy the lovely vintage doll house and giant Corduroy bear.
