The Dennis Libraries invite you to help celebrate “Take Your Child to the Library Day,” an international initiative that encourages families everywhere to take their children to local libraries. Explore our materials for children and meet our friendly staff and volunteers.



This year’s “Take Your Child to the Library Day” is on Saturday, February 1st. Come and see us:

Dennis Public Library, located at 5 Hall Street in Dennis Port (02639), will be open from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and present a drop-in craft and drawing prizes.

Dennis Memorial Library, located at 1020 Old Bass River Road in Dennis (02638), will be open from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and have a drop in open house from 2:00-4:00 p.m., which offers crafts, puzzles, games, and books.  

Jacob Sears Memorial Library, located at 23 Center Street in East Dennis (02641), will be open from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Select a yummy treat from Harry Potter’s trunk.  

South Dennis Library, located at 389 Main Street in South Dennis (02660), will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and have a drop in craft and scavenger hunt.

West Dennis Library, located at 260 Main Street (02670) in West Dennis, will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Enjoy the lovely vintage doll house and giant Corduroy bear.
