October Art Display

Reception Thursday, October 3rd from 4:00-6:00

Throughout the month of October, Dennis Public Library will showcase the artwork of three members from the Yarmouth Art Guild, Gail M. Burke, Paula Arms, and Sallie A. Raymond. Stop by the library throughout the month to enjoy their paintings.

Please join us for an art reception on Thursday, October 3rd from 4:00-6:00 for a chance to meet the artists and enjoy the exhibit. All are welcome.

Gail M. Burke, Ph.D.
Active in the arts since a young age, Gail nurtured a deep and abiding love of art. She paints acrylics, oils, and mixed media, creating landscapes, figural representations, mythological-allegorical pieces, abstract, and still-life art.

Paula Arms
Motivated by a quest for inner peace and tranquility, Paula roams the roads less traveled in search of inspiration for paintings. The raw nature of the New England coastline and Cape Cod, with its charming seaside homes, are especially appealing. Favorite subjects include dramatic skies and misty, watery landscapes with colors chosen to reflect a particular mood or feeling.

Sallie A. Raymond
In 2010 Sallie joined the Cape Cod Art Center with the intention of returning to her artwork. By chance she signed up for a class with Odin Smith in pastel and acrylic. Now Sallie works exclusively in acrylic, finding it the most versatile medium she has ever experienced.
