Library Updates

On February 4, 2020 the Dennis Public Library will reopen to serve patrons. Repairs to areas damaged by water on January 20, 2020 have been completed. The Children’s Room and the Benjamin and Ruth Muse Meeting Room sustained damage in an earlier event on November 8, 2019, and will remain closed until carpet is delivered later this month.

The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program that is normally offered at this time of year in the Meeting Room has been relocated to the Dennis Union Church at 713 Main Street (Route 6A), Dennis, MA, through the month of February. Please call Susan Reilly at the Dennis Senior Center to arrange an appointment for tax preparation assistance: 508-385-5067. Voting on March 3, 2020, for Precinct #3 will still take place at Dennis Public Library.

Journal Writings and Poetry from Ronald Harrison Fenn

Local writer and poet Ronald Harrison Fenn has culled through 15 volumes of journals, and five collections of poetry to hand select both prose and poetic reflections of Cape Cod written over the past half-century of his life here. Journal entries, poems, personal anecdotes and commentaries will be included to spark each person's attention and perhaps reflect their personal attraction to this beautiful landscape.

A Cape Cod resident, Mr. Fenn is semi-retired, devoting most of his time to writing poems, his journals, correspondence, and traveling. He has been a guest lecturer at various, civic organizations, public schools, colleges, and post-graduate institutes of higher learning with topics ranging from poetry and early American history to critical thinking skills.
