Library Updates

On January 20, 2020 the Dennis Public Library experienced water damage to its Circulation Desk and Back Office areas due to a leaking sprinkler pipe.

The Library will remain closed on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 to allow for clean up and repair of the affected areas. Additional closure time may be necessary to complete work. Stay tuned for further updates.

During this time period, the remaining four Dennis village libraries are fully operational and open to serve patrons. For information on these libraries, locations, and hours, please see the Town of Dennis website for the Departmental listing for Libraries at https://www.town.dennis.ma.us/libraries.

Pastel Paint Monet's Water Lilies

Greg's pastel of a water lily

Saturday, June 2nd from 12:30-3:00

We are hosting award-winning pastel artist Gregory John Maichack to present a hands-on workshop for adults, “Monet’s Magic: Pastel Paint Monet’s Wondrous Water Lilies.” This pastel painting workshop is designed for everyone, from beginners to experienced artists.

Imagine using the actual imagery that inspired Monet to paint his “Water Lily” paintings. In this new workshop, participants will freely experiment with hundreds of the artist’s professional grade pastels, pastel pencils, and pastel paper, in this fun pastel painting workshop. All will keep their pastel paintings.

Registration is required, and seats may fill quickly so please call 508-760-6219 to save your spot.

This project is supported in part by a grant from the Dennis Arts and Culture Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
