Irish Harp Music and Song: Songs and Poetry Inspired by Love

Saturday, March 10th at Noon

Irish Harpist Mairead Doherty will return to the Dennis Public Library for a concert of Irish Music.  She will be joined by Vocalist Tamara Harper, Flutist William Miner and Violinist Mark Oien. This concert is inspired by the beauty of Irish love songs that have stood the test of time. Looking back over the centuries of Irish Literature and song lyrics, the beauty of Irish love songs have stood the test of time, many of them written by men. What an appropriate time to celebrate the love, affection and respect expressed in these beautiful songs.

Mairead has traveled across Europe and North America performing on the Irish harp and singing in both English and Irish. She has performed at Dennis Public Library numerous times and always produces an enriching musical performance.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Dennis Arts and Culture Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
