The Majesty and Mystery of Crop Circles

Wednesday, July 31 at 7:00 pm

Enjoy a good mystery? What’s more mysterious than crop circles, which have been appearing with increasing sophistication in farmers’ fields and other locations all over the world? John Root, educator and naturalist, leads a presentation that features images of the intricate designs of crop circles. Are the designs, the layered weaving of downed plants, and the corresponding anatomical changes evidence of powerful and mysterious energies at work? Other noted phenomenon includes dramatic effects on electronic equipment, soils, animals, and human visitors. John offers interpretations of these exquisite formations, many which occur near sacred sites and refer to mystical traditions.

The audience is invited to share their reactions to the images and to speculate about how and why they are manifesting on our landscape. Go home with handouts of recommended books and websites for further research.
