The Wondrous World of Whales

Saturday, August 21 at 2:00 pm

Myles Marcus explores the world of whales with our audience. He'll survey the more than 75 species of whales, but concentrate on leviathans, or "giants of the sea." He'll discuss their migratory routes, feeding habits, behavior, longevity, evolution, reproduction, and the provocative mystery of strandings.

Myles Marcus is a Cape Cod Museum of Natural History trustee, program coordinator, and naturalist field guide. He is a former secondary school biology teacher and school administrator and served as a docent on a Provincetown whale watch ship during the summer of 2002.

Part of Dennis Public Library's "Green" Series.
