Nurture your Creative Spirit with author Harriet Rzetelny

Friday, August 20 at 11:00 am

Have you ever had dreams of writing, or singing, or painting? Maybe you did some of these things when you were younger, but gave them up when you started working, got married, or raised children? Or maybe you have the urge for the first time to take a painting class or write a novel or a memoir about your life, but haven't a clue as to how to begin?

Come and meet new local author Harriet Rzetelny, who just released her novel Graveyard Blues. The author published her first short story at age 55 and now, over ten years later, has published her first novel. She will explain to our audience how she used her life experiences as a former singer, clinical social worker, mother and wife to create the characters and stories that became Graveyard Blues. She will offer practical suggestions on what to do when faced with that blank piece of paper or canvas and how to give yourself permission to do the work without feeling guilty.
