The Friends of the Dennis Public Library are sponsoring a “Confidential Corner,” which provides materials on sensitive topics such as domestic abuse, suicide, substance use, and divorce. Patrons can borrow these materials without consulting with staff or checking materials out at the Circulation Desk. Of course, the Library always keeps patron information confidential, but sometimes people want to quietly and discreetly seek out resources during times of personal challenge.
The Friends immediately responded to the Library’s request to sponsor this program. Both the Friends and the Library want to help community members in need and ask only that borrowers return items to the Confidential Corner bookcase when finished, so that they can help the next person. Together we can build a healthy and strong community.
