(Not So) Elementary, My Dear Watson: The Popularity of Sherlock Holmes

Why does the popularity of Sherlock Holmes endure? The multitude of recent Holmes inspired movies, television shows, and literary adaptations are proof the Great Detective is alive and well in the 21st century. Dr. Ann McClellan, PhD, explores the origins of Arthur Conan Doyle's famous detective and tracks his incarnation in the literature, film, advertising, and modern media in order to crack the case of the most popular detective. Presented by the Whitman Public Library.
