Library Updates

On February 4, 2020 the Dennis Public Library will reopen to serve patrons. Repairs to areas damaged by water on January 20, 2020 have been completed. The Children’s Room and the Benjamin and Ruth Muse Meeting Room sustained damage in an earlier event on November 8, 2019, and will remain closed until carpet is delivered later this month.

The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program that is normally offered at this time of year in the Meeting Room has been relocated to the Dennis Union Church at 713 Main Street (Route 6A), Dennis, MA, through the month of February. Please call Susan Reilly at the Dennis Senior Center to arrange an appointment for tax preparation assistance: 508-385-5067. Voting on March 3, 2020, for Precinct #3 will still take place at Dennis Public Library.

The Dennis Public Library wishes to thank all of those who reached out with good wishes and offers of assistance. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Join Irish tour guide Gemma Loughnane for a discussion on Ireland in all its facets: music, history, language, beautiful scenery, friendly people, and literature.

Gemma was born in County Tipperary, Ireland. She is certified by the International Tour Management Institute and has been a tour guide for 25 years, covering almost every corner of the globe from Antarctica to Africa, Asia to Europe and has taken groups on many four month world cruises. Ireland has always been one of her favorite destinations and she looks forward to sharing her knowledge of the culture, scenery and people.

Gemma and fellow tour guide, Katrina Valenzuela are planning a tour to the west of Ireland this spring for a  small group of 20-24 travelers. If interested, please contact Gemma at gemmaloughnane@yahoo.com in order to secure your spot. Details for the tour can be found at www.katrinavalenzuela.com.
