Library Updates

On February 4, 2020 the Dennis Public Library will reopen to serve patrons. Repairs to areas damaged by water on January 20, 2020 have been completed. The Children’s Room and the Benjamin and Ruth Muse Meeting Room sustained damage in an earlier event on November 8, 2019, and will remain closed until carpet is delivered later this month.

The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program that is normally offered at this time of year in the Meeting Room has been relocated to the Dennis Union Church at 713 Main Street (Route 6A), Dennis, MA, through the month of February. Please call Susan Reilly at the Dennis Senior Center to arrange an appointment for tax preparation assistance: 508-385-5067. Voting on March 3, 2020, for Precinct #3 will still take place at Dennis Public Library.

Art from the Heart

Art Reception: Wednesday, January 31st from 3:00-5:00


The Eastwind Gallery is most proud to hang a wonderful exhibit in the library's meeting room through the month of February. The exhibit is titled "Art From the Heart" and is made up of creations near and dear to the hearts of the artists. Stop in to enjoy the exhibit anytime during regular library hours. The exhibit will be on display from January 31st until February 24th. 

An artists' reception is scheduled for Wednesday, January 31st from 3:00-5:00. All are welcome!


The Eastwind Gallery is located at 34 Main Street, Orleans. The Gallery will reopen for the season in April and welcomes visitors to come to observe artists at work, inspired and creatively painting at their easels. The various artwork on display include several mediums, including photography.
