By order of the Town of Dennis, Dennis Public Library has no building access at this time. Curbside pickup is available. Our book drop is open for returns.

Staff can assist with curbside pickup service Tuesdays-Saturdays starting at 10:00 a.m. Scheduled pickup hours are Tuesdays from 2:00-6:00 p.m.; Wednesdays-Fridays from 12:00-6:00 p.m.; and Saturdays from 12:00-4:00 p.m. Please call the library at 508-760-6219.

Know Your Salt Marsh

Come join Ian Ives, director of the Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary in Barnstable, MA, as he introduces our audience to Cape Cod’s salt marshes.
Salt marshes are some of the most biologically rich communities in North America and are nurseries for many of Cape Cod’s fish and shellfish. Salt marshes are also invaluable for their pollution prevention and storm and flood reduction. With increasing coastal development, many of Cape Cod’s salt marshes have become degraded. Learn more about these rich habitats, the creatures within them, and how to help protect them.
