Library Updates

On January 20, 2020 the Dennis Public Library experienced water damage to its Circulation Desk and Back Office areas due to a leaking sprinkler pipe.

The Library will remain closed on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 to allow for clean up and repair of the affected areas. Additional closure time may be necessary to complete work. Stay tuned for further updates.

During this time period, the remaining four Dennis village libraries are fully operational and open to serve patrons. For information on these libraries, locations, and hours, please see the Town of Dennis website for the Departmental listing for Libraries at https://www.town.dennis.ma.us/libraries.

Favorite winter visitors: Snowy Owls

Saturday, February 28 at 1:00 pm

For many birders, the Snowy owl (Bubo scandiacus) is now a familiar sight along Cape Cod’s winter shoreline. How many of us love to spot these beautiful birds of prey as they perch majestically amongst the dunes? Come listen to Ian Ives, Director of MassAudubon’s Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary, as he delves into the Snowy Owl’s life cycle and describes how the lemming boom of 2013 affected the owl populations we are encountering today.
