Library Updates

On February 4, 2020 the Dennis Public Library will reopen to serve patrons. Repairs to areas damaged by water on January 20, 2020 have been completed. The Children’s Room and the Benjamin and Ruth Muse Meeting Room sustained damage in an earlier event on November 8, 2019, and will remain closed until carpet is delivered later this month.

The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program that is normally offered at this time of year in the Meeting Room has been relocated to the Dennis Union Church at 713 Main Street (Route 6A), Dennis, MA, through the month of February. Please call Susan Reilly at the Dennis Senior Center to arrange an appointment for tax preparation assistance: 508-385-5067. Voting on March 3, 2020, for Precinct #3 will still take place at Dennis Public Library.

Peter Abrahams
is a multi-talented author, loved by both adults and young adults. With 25 novels to his credit, Abrahams has been a consistent award winner for books such as Nerve Damage and his 18 psychological thrillers, plus his New York Times best selling Echo Falls Mystery series for young adults. Under the pseudonym Spencer Quinn, he created the Chet and Bernie Mystery series with delightful Chet the dog as narrator. Finally, to add to his repertoire, Abrahams' first picture book, illustrated by Frank Morrison, is called Quacky Baseball, featuring a thumb-sucking duck named Thumby. Come and enjoy his insight.
