Saturday, October 30 at 2:00 pm

In a perfect ending to our celebration of Archaeology Month and the pirate ship Whydah, the author arrives to discuss her new work, Bellamy's Bride: The Search for Maria Hallett of Cape Cod. Legend has it that pirate "Black Sam" Bellamy was aboard the Whydah and hoping to return to his Cape Cod love Maria Hallett when the ship was lost in a storm off the coast of Wellfleet. Ms. Brunelle carefully picks up the threads of legend and lore and searches to find the historical truth behind the stories of Maria Hallett. Did Maria really exist? She traces the real people and considers the possibilities. Books will be available for sale and signing.
